The X models consist of the X1 (F48), X2 (F39), X3 G01, X4 (G02), X5 (G05), X6 (F16) and X7 (G07).

The F48 X1 is the second and current generation model. It is built upon the front-wheel drive based UKL2 platform, and is available in long-wheelbase and long-wheelbase hybrid variants in China. The range consists of turbocharged 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.[ Base models are front-wheel drive (branded as sDrive), with all-wheel drive (xDrive) available as an option and is standard for some higher end models.

The F39 is the first generation X2, and is based on the UKL architecture that is shared with other BMW and MINI models.[ It is based on the BMW Concept X2 shown at the 2016 Paris Motor Show followed by an online unveiling of the final production model on 25 October 2017. Models are available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive xDrive, and initial engines include turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol and 4-cylinder petrol and diesel models.

The BMW X3 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by German automaker BMW since 2003. Based on the BMW 3 Series platform, and now in its third generation, BMW markets the crossover as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company’s proprietary descriptor for its X-line of vehicles. The first generation X3 was designed by BMW in conjunction with Magna Steyr of Graz, Austria—who also manufactured all X3s under contract to BMW. BMW manufactures the second generation X3 at their Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, United States. The third generation of the BMW X3 is also manufactured at BMW South Africa’s Rosslyn plant, a facility that recently underwent a major upgrade to prepare for the X3 production. About 76,000 units will be manufactured there annually.

The vehicle was unveiled in late 2017 and shares its platform and basic styling elements with the third-generation BMW X3. Available variants include xDrive30i, xDrive20d, xDrive30d, xDriveM40i, and xDriveM40d.
In North America, the 2019 BMW X4 went on sale in the second quarter of 2018 as an early 2019 model year vehicle. It is available in either xDrive30i or M40i variants. Pricing starts at $50,450 for the xDrive30i, or $60,450 for the M40i.

The new 2018 G05 X5 is the fourth and current generation X5 model and was unveiled online on June 6, with a planned November 2018 launch date. It is based on the new Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform shared with other BMW models. All models are xDrive all-wheel drive only, and initial engines include turbocharged 6-cylinder petrol, V8 petrol, and 6-cylinder diesel models.
It is produced in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover by German automaker BMW.
The first generation (E71) was released for sale in April 2008 for the 2009 model year The X6 was marketed as a sports activity coupé (SAC) by BMW. It combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all-wheel drive and all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (styling featuring a sloping roof). It was based on the previous generation BMW 5 and 6 Series. E71 development began in 2003 under Peter Tuennermann, after start of E70 X5 development in 2001. Design work by E70 X5 designer Pierre Leclercq was frozen in 2005, with test mules being run from the summer of 2005 and prototypes being tested from late 2006. Production began on December 3, 2007.[
The second generation X6 (F16) was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 2014.

The BMW X7 is a luxury sport utility vehicle manufactured by BMW. It is BMW’s flagship Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV).
The X7 was first announced by BMW in March 2014. It was officially unveiled on October 17, 2018, with pre-orders being taken online. The X7 will be available at dealers starting in March 2019.
BMW provided a preview of the upcoming X7 with the showing of the Concept X7 iPerformance at the 2017 International Motor Show in Frankfurt.[ Production of the X7 starts in 2018 at the BMW US Manufacturing Company plant in Greer, South Carolina. The X7 has three rows of seats and is built on the same BMW CLAR platform as the G05 X5.
